Perspectives of the Elections and Constitutional Process in Chile

An election for the members of the Constitutional Convention was held in Chile between 15 and 16 May 2021.This election was called after 78% of voters in the 2020 national plebiscite voted to write a new Constitution through this method.

We are pleased to invite you to a webinar on the consequences of the election of the Constitutional Convention in Chile, which will be conducted by the Presidents of the Australian and Chilean chapters, Mr. Ian Hansen and Mr. Ramón Jara. This webinar will take place on the 11th June 2021 at 9:00am in Australia (AEST) which translates to the 10th June 2021 at 7:00pm (Chile time).

This event will be hosted by the Australia-Chile Business Council and will be a great opportunity to address the implications of the results for the election of the Constituent Convention in Chile, its impact on bilateral relations and the effects they could have on the business environment.

For this purpose, we will have the participation of the prominent Chilean speaker, Mr. Jorge Navarrete, lawyer and columnist in various media & Partner Law Firm Del Río Izquierdo.

There will also be time allocated towards the end of the webinar which will allow for attendees to engage with the panelists in a Q&A session.
